The Way to
The Way to
Photographs depict the city by night, in which the dominating atmosphere is the one of incoherent world and omnipresent threat. People constantly move, travel. Often such travel becomes a form of searching for oneself. In the cities though, this constant motion is in a way dominated by the infrastructure, what imposes the direction and provides restrictions. Although the futuristic cult of the city is gone, a human is still an element of the civilization. Within the structure of the city, people feel uncertainty and - regardless the phenomenon of the crowd - loneliness, so they try to go further, get out, break the limitations. Seemingly altogether, in reality everyone in separate is constantly searching for the light, which would ease the hidden fear. “The way to” is in itself an experience of search for the mystical and psychic order. It is a way out of chaos of the city.
